Achieving this goal is essential to address the environmental, social and economic challenges of our time, in line with the objectives of the “Fit for 55” package.
Together with Movin’On’s 27 members, we identified five strategic priorities to guide our action: ensuring inclusive mobility, advancing the circular economy, enabling the intermodality of freight and multimodality for people, and developing financing solutions for the energy transition.
In 2024, 20 Movin’On Communities of Interest were launched, bringing together leading public and private stakeholders who, alongside civil society representatives, committed to sustainable, inclusive mobility that creates value for all.
On 7 November 2024, at the Movin’On Summit in Brussels, we reached a new milestone. This International Sustainable Mobility Summit brought together nearly 350 experts who, together, laid the foundations for a collective roadmap setting out, from today to 2035, the milestones to reach, the obstacles to overcome and the levers to activate – technological, regulatory and sociological – to turn our ambition into reality.
So what might 2035 look like?
New visions will have found their place on the road.
Smart thinking and talent will have created the circular vehicle.
Responsible freight will have risen to the challenge of intermodality.
Driven by changing usage patterns, technology will have made multimodality desirable.
Impact indicators will have guided informed energy choices, with funding secured.
These retrospective narratives, which we are proud to present today, are the result of a co-creation process within our Communities of Interest, enriched by the diversity of perspectives brought by our members and partners.

They show that carbon neutrality by 2050 is not a distant dream, but an achievable goal made possible by the collective and courageous decisions we take today.
And this is only the beginning… our success will depend on our ability to bring together an even broader cross-section of the entire mobility value chain. That is why we are calling on all those driving change – businesses, public institutions, local authorities and civil society – to join Movin’On and our Communities of Interest and take an active part in this transformation.
Our shared commitment has the power to redefine mobility across Europe and demonstrate that solutions that are both effective and desirable for all do exist.
