SAFER OR GREENER?
Europe’s automotive market is currently shaped by two trends that conflict with the goals of decarbonized mobility.
On the one hand, a safety policy focused on achieving zero road deaths, which requires heavier equipment.
On the other, the goal of transitioning to all-electric vehicles by 2035, structurally reinforcing this trend.
Given that 98.7% of journeys take place within 80 km of home, Movin'On and Capgemini believe in an intermediate solution: a vehicle positioned between the L6e/L7e and M1 categories, safe, suited to 99% of journeys and able to meet the following needs:
Practicality for four people
Affordability
Minimal environmental impact:
- using fewer resources
- incorporating materials recycled in Europe into its design.
Alongside Movin'On and Capgemini, Allianz, Michelin and Saint-Gobain are also involved in this project, presented here by Emmanuelle Bischoffe-Cluzel, Head of Sustainable Development, Automotive Industry at Capgemini, and Pierre-Edouard Sorel, Development Director at Movin’On.
