The Massif Central is not an isolated area. It is a region shaped by flows of work, daily life, tourism, production and innovation—crossed by them, inhabited by them and brought to life through them. In May 2026, it was also the only region to represent France at the International Transport Forum. That says something about its standing: it does not need to compare itself with others, but to assert its identity. Here, at the heart of a region marked by a long industrial history in mobility and closely connected to the Michelin family, mobility shapes everything: health, the economy, attractiveness and quality of life.

This is the purpose of the event: to bring together all stakeholders—local authorities, companies, operators, researchers and citizens—at the heart of a pilot region, to develop and advance concrete mobility solutions. The Sustainable Territorial Mobility Summit is more than a forum for discussion; it is a project accelerator where local vision meets international ambition through five major strategic challenges:
