Autonomous Mobility: Are Stakeholders Ready?
The deployment of robotaxis is already underway in some cities. Autonomous shuttles are being tested across Europe. Autonomous public transport projects are also emerging on dedicated lanes, former railway corridors, and in low-density areas.
How can mobility stakeholders prepare to turn these technologies into everyday services?
Beyond the vehicle itself, autonomous mobility services require supporting infrastructure, operations, supervision, maintenance, proven safety, user acceptance, a viable business model, and seamless integration into existing transport networks.
This edition of Movin’On Insights will offer two complementary perspectives:
- • Henriette Cornet, CEO of Urban Innovate, will provide an international perspective on how operators can prepare for the transition to autonomous mobility, drawing on her experience with European projects, public transport, and the San Francisco ecosystem.
- • François Ramond will share SNCF’s work on autonomous public transport systems, particularly those operating on dedicated infrastructure or repurposed former railway corridors.
Together, they will help us identify what needs to be put in place today to transform pilot projects into useful, safe, and fully integrated mobility services.
This webinar is part of the Movin’On Insights series, a cycle of discussions dedicated to the major transformations shaping sustainable and inclusive mobility.
